A workshop for creatives who want to find opportunities and learn how to make their applications stand out

Discover where to find creative opportunities, find out what makes a successful artist statement and learn how to make sure your applications have the best chance of success.

This workshop will share how to find the best creative opportunities for your work as well as tips on how to make your applications stand out. 

The workshop is presented by SLAP Director Lydia Cottrell, so the session will be presented from a performing arts background, however the concepts and tactics can be applied to any artistic discipline.

This workshop will cover:

  • The best places to look for opportunities

  • How to decide if the opportunity is for you

  • How to write a successful artist bio

  • How to make the application process easier

  • Getting your work supported

Following this workshop we will host our regular monthly social - Creative Drinks - from 6pm to 10pm.

This workshop will take place in SPARK's events space, which is located upstairs at the back of the site. There is a lift on site, located towards the front of the site.
